The specific cost of recovering lithium is not clear, but taking nickel sulfate production as an example, the cost per ton of nickel through waste power battery recycling is less than 40,000 yuan, while the cost of directly producing nickel from nickel ore exceeds 60,000 yuan. The cost of obtaining metal raw materials through resource recovery is lower than that obtained directly through mineral development. Resource recovery of ternary batteries is of great significance to reduce costs.
